Tingalayo villa!  Just imagine being at the top of a mountain, the tranquillity, the peaceful setting with the world around you.  This hilltop retreat is almost suspended over the turquoise sea beneath you.  From this villa you can see St John, Jost Van Dyke, St Thomas & even Puerto Rico in the distance.  Long Bay & Smuggler’s Cove are the nearest beaches to you.

The private estate of Tingalayo villa has 4 acres of tropical gardens.  The setting is just so wonderful, quiet, relaxing & yet gives you the freedom of being in the British Virgin Islands.  The open living floor plan with it hardwood decks have a Balinese feel to the property.  The grounds have some lovely planting of breadfruit trees, hibiscus, aloe & golden flowers.  A combination of tastes with wonderful art pieces spanning Italian modern, Buddhist temple to Caribbean vibes.

The villa has a wonderful Caribbean sense of colour, flamingo pink for the entertainment room, ocean blue for the master bedroom suite, cool sky blue in the kitchen & living area, rustic orange for the BBQ & dining area & teal for the second of the bedrooms. Tingalayo has a lovely infinity pool shaped like a large cloud.  The terrace is on one side & Alfresco dining pavilion on the other.  The views are stunning of the ocean & other islands, you can just sit back & be mesmerised.  From the pool you can access the lounge area with its large bookshelves if you enjoy reading.  There is a flat screen TV & stereo for relaxation with your family or friends.  The kitchen is well stocked with pots & pans for just about your every need.  The granite counter tops offer a cool place to cook.  There is a separate pantry with two large fridge/freezers & two dishwashers.

The Master Suite with en suite bathroom is completely private from the rest of the house, the views are spectacular of Jost Van Dyke from this room.  There is an adjoining large private decking with a heated Jacuzzi tub.  This bedroom has a 4-poster bed, an outdoor day bed.  The Media Room is nearby with its striking artwork, a wonderful vista of the islands beyond with air-conditioned surroundings.   The main pavilion is just off the kitchen with its Alfresco Dining Room, offering a delightful indoor-outdoor eating experience & fabulous backdrop of the islands.  Seats 12 guests, you can use the BBQ or kitchen, your choice.  Breakfast is always nice too!  Dinner at night in this location is magical. 

The other side of the pool is bedroom 2, mahogany doors open onto a large shared bathroom, lovely sea green mosaic tiles.  There is a shower, imaginative bathtub for the kids & double basin.  The suites are simple & with Italian country style beds & bookshelves brought to life with a splash of vibrant colour.  There is a sofa seat which is fun.  Following round the deck is bedroom 3.  This suite gives a “Romantic Italian” feel with its 4 poster bed, hidden dressing area & private outdoor shower. 

At the end of the garden is a cottage style 2-bedroom property, great views.  There is a covered terrace which surrounds the heated plunge pool similar design to the main house.
